Where is Holiday Inn Colchester located?

Situated in the tranquil village of Eight Ash Green, just outside of Colchester's busy and lively town centre.

What time is check-in and check-out at Holiday Inn Colchester?

Check-in is 3pm. Check-out is 11am. 

Can I pay for late check-in and check-out?

Yes, please check with reception for more information. This is subject to availability.

How far is the zoo and directions to the Zoo?

The zoo is a 10-minute drive away from the hotel, just follow the elephant signs.  

Other than the Zoo what is there for families with children to do nearby?

We have a range of other local attractions within close proximity of the hotel such as: Colchester Castle, Hedingham Castle, Go Bananas, Bowling, Leisure World, East Anglian Railway Museum. 

How far is Holiday Inn Colchester from the town centre?

The town centre is around 10-15 minutes away depending on traffic.  

Travelling by bus to the town centre.

The bus route into the town centre is the 88 bus this goes quarter to and quarter past every hour. 

Does Holiday Inn Colchester offer free parking?

Yes, please ensure you enter your registration on arrival. 

Does Holiday Inn Colchester have EV charging?

Holiday Inn Colchester has four Type 2 and six Ultra-rapid charging connectors available. 

What's the difference between a standard room and an premium room?

Our premium rooms offer more space and luxury touches to make your stay extra special. Some items include a fridge with complimentary water and chocolate, In-room electronic safe, Dressing gowns and slippers. All on the ground floor.

What are the pool opening times?

Weekdays 6.30am - 10pm Weekends 7am - 9pm. 

Are towels provided at the swimming pool?

Yes, at no cost. 

How many children can be in a family room when there are two adults also?

Children 12 and under stay and eat free but a maximum of two children per room. For toddlers (under 3) a travel cot can be added.

Are there any extra charges for having a travel cot set up in the room?

No, this is complimentary.

What time is breakfast?

Weekdays 6.30 - 10.30

Weekends 7.00 - 10.30 

Where is the nearest shop?

Sainsbury's is about 3 minutes drive away just over the A12 roundabout. If you are not driving then we do not recommend this but there is a village shop located a 15-minute walk away.

Will Holiday Inn Colchester order a taxi for me?

Yes, please ask at reception and the team will be happy to help.
